I really love this piece.
So do plan to relief-carve this? I have a few pictures I want to try carving, except I have next to no experience.
I might end up doing a lino-cut or copper engraving of this drawing at some point, or it might be a painting or both. Good luck on your own carving. Practice and don’t fear making mistakes. The tools are simple and suitable panels can be obtained for very little. I do most of my relief wood carvings with a knife, a shallow gouge and a small skew chisel. Thanks, bernreuter
