Thomas and Jesus

Years ago I was commissioned to make a painting of Thomas touching the side of Jesus after the Resurrection. I began this drawing then but ended up doing a much simpler painting for the commission. I am in the process of preparing a large panel (for the second time) in order to paint this picture. In this post is the drawing and original painting. Following posts will explore the large panel construction and preparation and the new easel I have had to build to accommodate it.

Moses

Here is the latest work on the painting of Moses in the rocky cleft as the glory of God passes by. It may appear complete, but there are many details and adjustments that need to be made still.

Moses in the Rock Update

The most recent work on this painting of Moses in the Cleft of Rock involves the completion of the rocks and the beginning of the turf around Moses. Sections of turf remain to be painted as does Moses himself. Once those elements are completed other details to the composition will be introduced.
