This is the first proof of a new copper engraving, fairly early in the process, printed to give an idea of how the values are shaping up. Obviously, certain areas such as the pants and vest of the figure are more developed than the head, which consists mostly of reference lines. The plate/image size is 3″x4 3/8″.

Below is the test-proof of the Jacob Wrestling the Angel of the Lord lino-cut. I have also included a few pictures of the process. The block size is 9 5/8″ x 7 1/2″, printed with Graphic Chemical bone black etching ink, on BFK Rives 250g paper.

This is the egg-tempera under-painting of Moses in the Rocky Cleft panel.
In-progress graphite under-drawing on a poplar wood panel of Walking Man over a subterranean ocean with Jonah and the Sea-monster. This will be painted in oils.
Below are two stages of the under-painting for the Moses in the Cleft panel, done in egg tempera. Also included is a detail of some of the egg tempera paraphernalia.

In order to make a bead detail for some frame molding I could either buy a router bit or make a new cutter for my scratch stock (a traditional shop-made molding cutter or scraper). I believe that it is good to make your own tools when you can.
Below is the new cutter in the body of the scratch stock (similar to a marking guage), a piece of scrap walnut that has recieved the molding and an old triple flute cutter I made last winter.
The profile is marked on the blank before cutting. The blank is roughly cut from an old handsaw blade with a cold chisel then filed smooth.
The profile is then cut out with a dremel cut-off wheel…
then cleaned up with files.

Here is an update of the Moses in the Cleft of Rock panel. It is graphite on a gessoed poplar panel- in the process of becoming a painting. The underpainting will be in egg tempera, while the final painting will be oil.
