From the Song of the Ancient, here is a small turned and carved vessel in black walnut and osage orange. The idea isn’t fully formed or unified, but it is advancing. As the yellow osage wood ages it will turn a deep red-orange, nearly as dark as the walnut.

The provision for me in my shop this past week: cutting dovetails in black walnut for a chest, some goat-milk and lime paint for the butcher block legs, and finishing up the milling of the mighty locust.
We opened up an Etsy store a recently called BaumWerk. As you can see, it is a convenient place to purchase prints and woodwork from me. We even have some of my wife’s goat’s milk soap as well, made with the help of our small flock of nubians. We welcome you to stop in.
